Bring your own projects to complete and work independently knowing that they are on hand to help or advise as needed!
Book for a morning , afternoon or all day.
You will need your own machine, equipment and materials
Create a robust and decorative padded and covered lidded box. Built around sturdy card templates you stitch the sections together and can embellish as you wish.
Great teaching, brilliant opportunity to learn in happy convivial environment with like minded stitchers .
All sessions 10-1pm

10.00 - 13.00 for £5 or stay all the afternoon for £10 limited to 8 places.
Get away from the phone and chores, and come and sit and socialise and sew! There is no tutor but we do have coffee and biscuits!
Bring your own projects , come with your group and have a day, or any part of the day in our large classroom. The Viking Loom offers a quiet, comfortable venue in a lovely setting with ample parking.
Have you got a new sewing machine? Or do you need a little help using your old one? Bring your machine and your manual and one of our experienced sew-ers will go through the basics with you. Straight stitching, buttonholes, blind hem and stretch stitches, using the various feet and accessories. If you machine does it, we will try !
We would like you to be able to go on to a group class after these sessons so that your machine becomes a tool not a monster ...
Afternoon classes :12.30 -3.30pm 8 places per class.
These afternoons cater for a range of abilities. We have a large 2.4 x 1.2m square table for cutting and laying out and 8 one metre square desks for students.
A friendly informal afternoon of creative stitching! Bring your own machine and project ready to go, browse through the shop for new ideas or fabrics to inspire you, and get advice and guidance from our experienced tutor Lynn.
Day workshops : 10.30-3.30 pm . Three places per class.
These days allow you to really get going with your project . we can tailor make these days to suit a small group .
